Today, Polo G unveils his third studio LP Hall of Fame, which sees 20 new cuts from the Chicago star and notable appearances from Lil Durk, Lil Wayne, G Herbo, Rod Wave, DaBaby, Young Thug, Roddy Ricch, Fivio Foreign, Pop Smoke, and more. One of the biggest standouts from said project is the Byrd, FinesseGTB, and CashMoneyAP-produced “For The Love of New York,” a island-esque pop number that features Nicki Minaj and sees the two rapping about rocky relationships:

Bad lil’ thing from New York, her heart is too soft, she feel all alone but I’ve been there before, she just like it when you say less and do more, baby, we not vibin’ if it’s too forced, stopped cryin’, she done cried all her last cries, she been heartbroken for the last time, girl, if I wasn’t so heartless, you could have mine, I was in the slums, thuggin’ with the bad guys…”

Prior to Hall of Fame’s release, Polo G delivered rewind-worthy freestyles for the L.A. Leakers and Funkmaster Flex, further proving why the 2020 XXL Freshman was considered one of the dopest emcees within his generation. He was also in the news for purchasing a $4.9 million residence in the Los Angeles suburb of Chatworth, which exponentially increased his profile as one of the most successful.

Currently, Nicki Minaj continues to sail off the re-release of her 2009 mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty, which now contains 23 tracks with newer cuts like “Crocodile Teeth” with Skillibeng, “Fractions,” and “Seeing Green” with Lil Wayne and Drake. In addition to the mixtape’s return, the last year has also seen Minaj contributing to tracks like Doja Cat’s “Say So (Remix),” A$AP Ferg’s “Move Ya Hips,” Ty Dolla $ign’s “Expensive,” and Sada Baby’s “Whole Lotta Choppas (Remix).”
