Megan Thee Stallion is taking her savageness to the next level. On Thursday (May 21), Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty brand named the Houston Hottie as a partner for their upcoming summer collection, “Savage x Thee Stallion.”
“I’m so excited to work with a brand that embodies diversity and celebrates women in all their glory,” Megan said in a press statement. “In my Savage x Fenty, I feel sexy, comfortable and confident. We want all the hotties around the world to feel good about themselves exactly as they are.”
“Meg is the energy we were looking for,” Rihanna added. “She is a risktaker with an attitude, character and personality.”
The announcement also arrived with a few shots of Megan wearing pieces from the lingerie collection, which she shared on Instagram.
Prior to the Fever rapper, Rihanna’s company has partnered with the likes of Normani, Lil Wayne’s daughter Reginae Carter and more. Megan’s Savage x partnership arrives after her wildly popular song “Savage,” which spawned a viral TikTok dance challenge and, of course, a Beyoncé-assisted remix.
“It’s really crazy ‘cause like, my mama was like a really huge fan of like Beyoncé and she used to make me watch a lot of Beyoncé stuff,” Megan shared on Instagram Live, following the collaboration’s release. “And it’s like, when I met her I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ And I ain’t wanna be like, ‘Oh my God Beyoncé me and my mama love you.’”
“This sh*t is crazy — And it’s just like, for Beyoncé to even do a song with me — I really only been out for like two years. This is the beginning of year number two. Like, Beyoncé? It’s really crazy,” she continued.
The Suga cut previously made history alongside Doja Cat’s “Say So,” as the first time both the No. 1 and No. 2 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 chart were occupied by female hip hop artists.
