Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” is heating up the charts following the release of the remix featuring Beyoncé.
The Houston Hottie has just earned her first Top 10 Hot 100 hit as the single jumped from No. 14 to No. 4. She took to Instagram to celebrate the success of the song.
“I really want to cry right now like oh my god!!!!” she wrote. “This is my first top 10 bitch my first top 5!!!! Likeeeeee hottiessss we really doing this shit! We aint never give up we doing everything they said we wouldn’t!!!! I said, ‘J. White give me a beat I can go off on,’ and he did. Thank you @beyonce! I’m just happy to be here man. Following the release of the remix, the Suga rapper became emotional while speaking about how much her collaboration with Beyoncé would’ve meant to her late mother, Holly Thomas.
“It’s really crazy cause like, my mama was like a really huge fan of like Beyoncé and she used to make me watch a lot of Beyoncé stuff,” she said. “And it’s like, when I met her I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ And I ain’t wanna be like, ‘Oh my God Beyoncé me and my mama love you.’”
She continued, “This shit is crazy — And it’s just like, for Beyoncé to even do a song with me — I really only been out for like two years. This is the beginning of year number two. Like, Beyoncé? It’s really crazy.”
Beyoncé and Meg are using this single to help out those in their hometown who have been affected during the pandemic. All proceeds for the track will benefit Bread of Life’s COVID-19 relief efforts.
