Late last year, Lil Baby dropped off the hard-hitting single “On Me,” an ode of sorts to those who find themselves in the sudden throws of money and fame. The track was produced by Chi Chi and EVRGRN and is expected to appear on the Atlanta star’s long-awaited album Lamborghini Boys. Today, he ups the ante by revealing a remix of “On Me” that now features assistance from Megan Thee Stallion. As expected, the Houston emcee wastes no time matching Lil Baby’s verse with bars about sex, money, and haters:
“This ain’t tag, why you runnin’ from me? Suck it while he cummin’, when I do my little dance, get the Kelly and the Birkin, if he act up I don’t give a fuck, I’m a rich bitch, I’ll be damned if a nigga have me cryin’ in the whip/
Okay, he sensitive when it come to me, talk shit like he runnin’ me, he’ll leave out and come right back, ‘cause he know them bitches can’t fuck with me/”
Directed by Mike Ho, the accompanying clip for “On Me (Remix)” heavily relies on CGI, beginning with Lil Baby rapping from what looks like the Fortress of Solitude. Elsewhere, Megan and her crew dance and twerk from the top of an active volcano, making for a dope fire and ice theme overall.
It would be an understatement to say that Lil Baby and Megan Thee Stallion were on top of the world last year — they both earned well-deserved number one placements on the Billboard 200 with February’s My Turn and November’s Good News, respectively. Lil Baby also delivered a deluxe edition of My Turn months later, which included hit singles like the 42 Dugg-assisted “We Paid” and “A Bigger Picture” — the latter of which earned two Grammy nods and has since scored Lil Baby a Platinum certification.
