Last year, Megan Thee Stallion liberated her official debut album Good News, a 17-track project that saw additional features from DaBaby, City Girls, SZA, Popcaan, Mustard, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Young Thug, and Beyoncé — the last of whom joined Megan on a remix of her chart-topping single “Savage.” Good News also topped the Billboard 200 during its first week out, thanks to 100,000 album equivalent units sold. Today, he reaches back to that project to drop a visual for “Movie,” a Tay Keith-produced effort that features Lil Durk and is perfect for a night at Magic City:
“That ain’t my man, but that’s my man, though, so watch your hands, ho, he tryna holler when you ain’t looking, just stop shakin’ his hand, bro, told that nigga give me the money, don’t know what you playin’ for, this expensive, don’t bе touchin’ on what you ain’t payin’ for…/”
As expected, the accompanying visual for “Movie” takes us into a massive strip club, where endless money is thrown and twerking is in abundance. Add in Megan and Durk’s towering presence throughout, and the atmosphere is about as lit as a place can be post-quarantine.
In addition to Good News, 2020 also saw Thee Stallion dropping off an EP titled Suga, which contained nine cuts — including the original version of “Savage” — and a couple of contributions from Kehlani and Gunna. Her Chicago cohort has a pretty amazing year as well — Durk was able to bless his fans with Just Cause Y’all Waited 2 and The Voice, along with deluxe upgrades for each. Both projects peaked at the number two spot on the aforementioned Billboard chart as well, with Just Cause Y’all Waiting 2 earned Durk a Gold plaque.
