French Montana is tired of the disrespect. As previously reported by REVOLT, the NYC star took to social media to such down critics of his music, quickly reminding all within view of his decorated discography. Just as the weekend arrives, French then dropped off a new single titled “I Don’t Really Care,” a SMPLGTWY, Boi-1da, Elemantastic, and Cydney Christine-produced banger that sees him further boasting about his hard-earned success:
“I’m the biggest bad boy since Wallace, I don’t really care, and them twenty cars you rappin’ ‘bout, I spent that on the Bugatti, actin’ out, two milli, that’s what that’s about, I don’t really care, in case you forgot, in case you forgot, Montana been had the city wildin’, and came through with Khloe down the city island, Sanaa Lathan, Demi Lovato, Iggy in Cabo, bitch, I been viral…”
With the help of director Edgar Esteves, the accompanying clip for “I Don’t Really Care” sees French recreating classic music video and film moments from the likes of Childish Gambino, Eminem, The Weeknd, and The Notorious B.I.G. — the last of which involves Diddy and the iconic car-in-reverse scene from “Hypnotize.” The video ends with French perched on a skyscraper overlooking the city like a superhero, next to a giant flag bearing his Coke Boys logo.
“I Don’t Really Care” will appear on French’s forthcoming body of work titled They Got Amnesia, alongside the previously released single “FWMGAB.” Last year, French delivered the fifth installment of his Coke Boys mixtape series, a star-studded effort with contributions from Jim Jones, Lil Durk, Pop Smoke, Jack Harlow, Curren$y, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Benny The Butcher, A$AP Rocky, Max B, and more. Prior to that, he dropped his third studio LP MONTANA in 2019.
Press play on “I Don’t Really Care” below. They Got Amnesia arrives Nov. 12.
