Earlier this month, Kali Uchis fans everywhere were met with a pleasant surprise when the singer-songwriter posted a snippet to her Instagram account of her “Fue Mejor” song. The short video hinted that the remix is officially on the way, boasting a new verse from the one and only SZA. Last night (Sept. 29), the revamped track officially makes landfall, and SZA winds up matching the energy of the song perfectly:

Kali Uchis officially delivered her Sin Miedo (Del Amor Y Otros Demonios) album earlier this year, which is her second LP and first Spanish-language project. The offering includes 13 new Spanglish tracks and features from PARTYNEXTDOOR, Rico Nasty, and of course Latin artists like Jowell y Randy and Jhay Cortez. In April, Kali released her EP titled To Feel Alive, to hold fans over until her official album. project included four new tracks from the DMV star, which production from Vegyn, Austen Jux-Chandler, Chahayed, and more.
In terms of other recent collabs, SZA teamed up with Doja Cat a few weeks ago for their mega-hit “Kiss Me More.” SZA shook the music world when she released her debut LP Ctrl over four years ago, which saw 14 tracks and additional features from Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, James Fauntleroy, and Isaiah Rashad. The project was a massive success for the St. Louis-to-New Jersey talent, charting across the globe and scoring SZA multiple Gold and Platinum plaques. Since then, she deliver some top tier loose singles like “Good Days” and “Hit Different” with Ty Dolla $ign. She also recently liberated three songs on her Soundcloud account.
