Soulja Boy is on an absolute tear. Back in March, he dropped off the single “She Make It Clap,” which many consider to be an official comeback for the “Crank That” star. Since then, he’s kept his momentum going with a string of hard-hitting singles like “Rick & Morty,” “Copy & Paste,” and “BOP!,” all of which act as appetizers before the release of Soulja’s long awaited Draco project.
Yesterday (July 19), Soulja decided to revisit “She Make It Clap” for a remix alongside French Montana, who effortlessly adds to the Fantom-produced effort with boastful rhymes about women, fame, and fortune:
“That ain’t my girl, I told you, I just hit her first like Soulja, the New York niggas be wildin’, stars in the roof, Star Island, made it clap like a round of applause, and the water blue seats with the butterfly doors, you can give me those M’s, you can keep your awards, niggas be broke, you be lyin’ on the Forbes, lost a bag on Kyrie, got it back like Travis did Kylie…”
“She Make It Clap (Remix)” also sees a matching visual that shows Soulja and French in different locations within a lavish estate filled with beautiful women — from the living space to the picturesque pool area. At one point, Soulja even tried to recreate Nelly’s classic — and controversial — “Tip Drill” moment with a credit card.
Back in November, French Montana liberated his latest project CB5, the latest installment from the Bronx emcee’s Coke Boys series. The project was a star-studded affair, with the likes of Jim Jones, Pop Smoke, Jack Harlow, Lil Durk, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Benny The Butcher, A$AP Rocky, and Curren$y making appearances over 19 tracks. Last month, he returned with his new single “FWMGAB,” which could be a sign of a new body of work on the way.
