In the words of Travis Scott and Drake, Soulja Boy is currently in sicko mode. While he’s never stopped working musically, the April release of “She Make It Clap” felt like of the beginning of a brand new championship run for the “Crank That” star — since then, we’ve seen a nonstop barrage of releases from Soulja, including “Rick & Morty,” “Copy & Paste” with T.I., and the five-track EP Rich Off a Computer. He even remixed “She Make It Clap” with the aid of French Montana.
Last month, Soulja liberated his then-latest album Big Draco, which saw 12 tracks and additional appearances from Omarion, Desiigner, Tadoe, and Bow Wow — the last of whom contributed some dope bars to the aptly titled “Bow Wow vs. Soulja Boy”:
“Say somethin’ crazy about me and Soulja, then we at your neck, shawty just told me she hungry, I told her to chill, we got food on the jet, take off from L.A. to Atlanta, in Atlanta you know that I brought me a pack back, niggas is claimin’ my road, man, I had Kim K when Soulja dropped “Crank That,” it’s 2020, well me and Draco we’re back, we ain’t takin’ no losses…”
Despite the heavy competitiveness we saw before and during “Verzuz,” the Sheeraz Belushi-directed clip sees the two living it up as the mutual legends they are. Much of the video is centered around Bow Wow and Soulja Boy hosting a pretty lit pool party, complete with high end cars, plenty of cash being thrown around, and — of course — a bevy of scantily clad women throughout.
