Fresh off his 31st birthday, Soulja Boy has started a new business venture. On Thursday (July 29), Businesswire broke the news that the emcee aka Big Draco teamed up with Grizzly Peak — an indoor cannabis company — to launch his own cannabis brand. Soulja Exotics will sell 3.5 grams of medicinal-quality weed, starting with an indica strain titled the “Grease Runtz.”
“For years, I’ve been looking for a premium cannabis company to bring my product to market. Grizzly Peak grows their medicinal quality cannabis indoors in coco fiber giving it a smooth inhale and exhale. I have so much going on in my head, I use weed to help me relax better so I can focus on my music, videos and other entertainment businesses,” Draco said in a statement.
“After trying many of their products, I was convinced that these guys are top growers who can consistently deliver the type of high I have been looking for. It was easy for me to decide to launch my exclusive, limited quantities of my weed products in collab with Grizzly Peak.”
“We are excited about our collab and this limited quantity drop with Soulja Boy and are already in development of other exclusive and innovative cannabis products that meet his needs and the smokers he connects with,” Grizzly Peak co-founder Matt Yamashita said of his partnership with Big Draco. “Our relationship with Soulja Boy is part of our bigger strategy to connect with smokers through their interests and lifestyle.”
Grizzly Peak™ Soulja Exotics™ will launch next week and will be available for purchase at exclusive legal cannabis dispensaries in California, including STIIIZY, Harvest House of Cannabis, Long Beach Green Room, Cookies and Stinky Leaf & Firehouse.
Though Draco often claims he’s the first rapper to do something, that statement doesn’t ring true in this situation. Instead, the emcee joins the likes of JAY-Z, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa and Method Man, who all have their own cannabis brands.
