Currently, Lil Baby is still sailing off the release of his sophomore studio album My Turn, which boasted 20 tracks and additional appearances from Gunna, Young Thug, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Wayne, Moneybagg Yo, and more. Today, he drops off a new visual from the project for “Forget That,” which features frequent collaborator Rylo Rodriguez and sees the two rapping about money and wealth over production from Murda Beatz and Tyler Armes:
“Got a thousand pounds for a thousand, buy them b***hes now, first they tried to steal my style, now they tryna steal my sound, thank God, I ain’t been broke in a while/
Do what I do to a T, you my child, I left the b***h in the field and she sour, move like a ghost in my town, I got power, reach for a chain on my neck, hear a baow, I’m hittin’ ‘em hard, make ‘em throw in the towel…/”
The video comes courtesy of DirectorCricket and shows Lil Baby jumping between a white setting with beautiful women and a Rolls Royce and a black setting alongside Rodriguez. Rylo can also be seen outside with some eye candy of his own and a Lamborghini truck. Simply put, both artists are making sure you’re aware of their financial success.
My Turn was released back in February and earned Lil Baby his first number one album on the Billboard 200 with 197,000 album equivalent units sold. The Atlanta star then followed that release with a deluxe upgrade in May, which added six tracks to the entire offering — including the wildly successful single “We Paid” with 42 Dugg, which has since scored a top ten placement on the Billboard Hot 100. Lil Baby’s debut LP, Harder Than Ever, dropped in 2018.
