Moneybagg Yo continues to run the numbers up following the deluxe release of Time Served back in May. This week, he drops off a hard-hitting cut titled “Said Sum,” which sees him taking shots at an adversary over production from YC:
“Hunnids and fifties, can’t swap a dime for a penny, you know that’s a stupid decision/
Head first with it, I shot a shot at my n***a b***h, really didn’t think before I did it/
Make it make sense, luckily I was on point with the last hoe, kept my receipts/
Warranty good, made sure I gotta full refund, when I gave her back to the streets…/”
Time Served (Deluxe) added seven additional tracks to January’s Time Served, equating to 22 dope cuts and appearances from Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby, Fredo Bang, DaBaby, Future, Summer Walker, and more. Time Served also serves as Moneybagg’s best album to date, reaching the number three spot on the Billboard 200 thanks to 66,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release.
In a recent interview with REVOLT, Moneybagg Yo spoke on the important of expanding your wealth outside of music:
“It’s important because you’ve got your old fans, you know — people that only rock with you – so you’ve got to show them a new side to you and your brand, you know what I’m saying? And then, you’ve got to let everyone know what you got goin’ on, so they can vibe to it. So, you’ve got to have your own stuff [besides the music], period.”
Check out the BenMarc-directed visual for “Said Sum” below. This month also saw Moneybagg deliver a visual from Time Served (Deluxe) for the track “Issa No (375 Flow)” which sees the Memphis star taking inspiration from the hood classic How To Be A Player — you can enjoy that below as well.
