Back in October, Lil Wayne teamed up with Rich The Kid to deliver the joint project Trust Fund Babies, a 10-song offering that saw a single feature from YG. Following the visual for the standout track “Feeling Like Tunechi,” the Atlanta–New Orleans duo return with another for “Trust Fund,” a Nagra and Tay Keith-produced effort that’s full of the witty, boastful raps that both artists are well-known for:
“Now a nigga Rich Forever, they gon’ call me, coach, put me in the game, I’ve been balling, I was countin’ up the hundreds till the morning, we was getting to them racks while they snoring, tryna make a mill’, that’s easy, bought a brand new Patek, all water, that’s Fiji, the niggas who hatin’, they really wan’ be me, you see that I’m Rich, back then didn’t believe me…”
Directed by Mooch, the accompanying clip for “Trust Fund” sees the artists in a skate park, posted up on a color-changing Lamborghini Urus while skaters of all ages shred around them. Viewers can also see animated versions of Wayne, Rich, & Co., shots of the two in toddler form, and more.
Back in January, Rich The Kid released his last solo body of work Lucky 7, which saw contributions from DaBaby, SipTee, Lil Mosey, Rubi Rose, Flo Milli, Latto, Quavo, and Takeoff. More recently, he’s dropped off loose singles like “Richard Mille Patek,” “Boss Bitch” with Coi Leray, and “Prada” (along with a Polo G-assisted remix). Meanwhile, Lil Wayne has continued his return to spotlight-stealing form as a guest artist, delivering some serious verses for the likes of G-Eazy, Logic, Run The Jewels, Moneybagg Yo, AZ, Tyler, The Creator, Drake, Papoose, and Westside Gunn, among a wealth of many others.
