Two of the biggest hip hop veterans in London have joined forces on wax. Earlier this week, Kilburn’s C Biz and Peckham’s Giggs — both of whom have faced incomparable levels of adversity and legal turmoil throughout their careers — revealed their hard-hitting collaboration “Long Time Coming,” which sees the two giants reminding listeners of their long-standing reputation in the game:

“This ain’t what they want, this is what they need, this ain’t for the neeks, this is for the streets, this is whippin’ in the kitchen, this is what we bleed, this is Pyrex on the stove, I’m tryna whip a key, you tryna make it out the streets, this is the recipe, this is the hardest track the industry will ever see, compare it to Pablo Escobar and the Medellin, I came up from a corner where niggas was servin’ fiends, I made it out the trenches where niggas was sellin’ dreams…”

Directed by Tadas, the accompanying visual for “Long Time Coming” brings everyone outside, with C Biz and Giggs mobbing heavy with their respective crews in the former’s North West London stomping grounds. Motorcycles, high-end cars and jewelry, and more are also seen throughout the clip.

For C Biz, “Long Time Coming” follows the singles “Dope Boy (Obsession 2),” “True Story,” and “Making It Spin” with 6IXVI. His last full-length body of work, Free H, made landfall in 2017 and saw additional contributions from the likes of Skepta, Loick Essien, and Kojo Funds over 13 tracks. Meanwhile, Giggs liberated his last project Now Or Never last year, which boasted 16 cuts with assists from KYZE, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Aystar, Tiny Boost, Jorja Smith, Dave, Emeli Sandé, and more.
