Fans of Digga D are more than aware of the ups and downs that he experienced back in 2017 — from his legal issues to his musical involvement as a part of 1011, the drill collective now known as CGM. For his latest, he decided to reflect on that period with the X10-produced “2K17,” which sees him touching on both past exploits and current moves and successes:

“No bells for the nina, bring the dagger dem, yo, I don’t know who them boy think they’re badder than, get me mad again, get me mad again, so I can ching mans chest and back again, too real for the scene, they ain’t seen what I seen, whistle on pistol with the beam, Crib Session, I had the machine, Daily Duppy, I went with a full magazine, four-fizzy on FRE, the four-five if man don’t free up the C.R.E.A.M…”

Directed by The Odyssey Collective, the accompanying clip for “2K17” sees Digga D in the studio, performing the track with his crew. Viewers can also find the West London star in different locations throughout, including at restaurant/hookah lounge 17 On Sloane, on a donut run, and in a room with a couple of bold women.

Back in February, Digga D liberated his latest body of work Made In The Pyrex, a 13-track effort that boasted top tier singles like “Woi,” “Chingy (It’s Whatever),” and “Bringing It Back” with AJ Tracey — in addition, other peers like M1llionz, Sav’o, and ZK contributed to the project. Made In The Pyrex is also currently one of the highest-charting this year, landing at the number one and two spots on UK’s R&B Albums and Official Albums charts, respectively. It’s hope that tracks like “2K17” and the ArrDee-assisted “Wasted” means a new project isn’t too far away.
