Winners Circle Entertainment has already plenty of dope tunes to enjoy, and they show little signs of letting up. Today (June 16), Sheff G liberates a new single titled “On Go,” which features an assist from Polo G. Those familiar with the two artists already know what to expect as far as subject matter — unapologetic, hardcore street raps:
“Shawty a baddie, so tell her, ‘Come dance on me like that,’ I’m tryna take her home and break her back, I’m in the spot, I’m throwin’ all the racks. but you know I spend it, get it right, hold on, you know I spend it, get it right back, call up Great John, get a nigga boomed, and it’s R.I.P. Pop, we gon’ shake the room…”
“On Go” also sees a matching visual that brings the Brooklyn-to-Chicago connection to life, complete with all of the usual fare — jewelry, cars, cash, and more. Clearly, two of the youngest in the game are also two of the biggest by far.
“On Go” follows last month’s “Start Some Shyt,” another Great John backed-heavy hitter that keeps with the unique, minimal drill sound that both Sheff G and close cohort Sleepy Hallow have become popular for. Last year, Sheff G delivered three projects — the EP Just 4 Yall and the well received full-lengths One and Only and Proud Of Me Now, featuring top quality cuts like “No Surburban, Pt. 2,” “Eeny Meany Miny Moe,” and “No Negotiations.” Meanwhile, Polo G is most assuredly still celebrating his number one album Hall of Fame, which was released last month and already boasts hit singles like “Epidemic,” “RAPSTAR,” “GANG GANG” with Lil Wayne, “No Return” with The Kid LAROI and Lil Durk, “Painting Pictures,” and “Party Lyfe” with DaBaby.
