Fresh of the release of his highly anticipated Proud Of Me Now project, Sheff G has just shared his official video for “Mistakes.” In the visual, we see a younger version of Sheff G going about his business in his ‘hood, while the NY emcee delivers his reflective hook:
We ain’t ever goin’ dwell on a mistake, huh. Ran it up and we get back to it, huh. Never seen these days, and of course, my dreams got stolen. My dreams are dead in them cells, but I’m here now. Felt like my dreams are dead in them cells, but I’m here now, look. We ain’t ever goin’ dwell on a mistake, huh. Ran it up and we get back to it. Never seen these stage, and of course, my dreams got stolen. My dreams are dead in them cells, but I’m here now. Felt like my dreams are dead in them cells, but I’m here now.
As the video progresses, we see a storyline play out with the young Sheff G that portrays what could happen when someone makes one too many mistakes. The New York spitter dropped his new body of Proud Of Me Now just this month, which sees 11 dope cuts, including previous singles “No Negotiations,” “Lights On,” and the Sleepy Hallow-assisted “Tip Toe” that served to lead up to the grand reveal. It is also the first official release following the new partnership between RCA Records and his label Winners Circle Entertainment.
Earlier this year, Sheff G also shared his EP Just 4 Yall, which saw five new tracks and assists from Rich The Kid, Lil Tjay, King Von, Jay Critch, and more. Prior to that was One and Only in May, which succeeded last year’s The Unluccy Luccy Kid.
