This past weekend, Boosie Badazz blessed the masses with the third installment of his Goat Talk series, which sees 19 tracks with additional appearances from Pooh Shiesty, BBE AJ, DaBaby — the last of whom joined the Baton Rouge veteran on the hit single “Period.” Goat Talk 1 and 2 made landfall in 2019 and 2020, respectively.
In addition to Goat Talk 3, Boosie has also announced this year’s “Boosie Bash,” a two-day event that — in addition to DaBaby and the man of the hour himself — will see the likes of Lil Baby, Coi Leray, Yung Bleu, Mooski, Bobby Shmurda, Anthony Hamilton, Jacquees, Webbie, Juvenile, and more take to the stage on Southern University’s campus this August.
Recently, Boosie took to social media to continue his long-standing support for comedic legend Bill Cosby, who was released from prison after his 2018 conviction for aggravated indecent assault was overturned by Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court. As previously reported by REVOLT, Cosby returned the favor late last year, after Boosie was shot in the leg during a visit to Texas to pay his respects to late collaborator MO3 — the two dropped off the joint album Badazz MO3 last year:
“I will pay homage to those who have supported me and my family, simply by saying, thank you … The first person to be recognized on Thank You Thursday is Rapper [Boosie]. Thank you for your support & I’m praying for you to have a speedy recovery and for your mobility to be restored.”
Outside of music, Boosie has also expressed his desire to get into celebrity boxing — he also wants his opponent to be Facebook head honcho Mark Zuckerberg, who Boosie has been at odds with over the frequent removal of his Instagram account. Whether or not he’ll get in the ring — with Zuckerberg or anyone — is yet to be seen.
