Back in November, Megan Thee Stallion unveiled her debut studio LP Good News, a 17-track project with additional appearances from Young Thug, Beyoncé, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Popcaan, City Girls, Lil Durk, SZA, and more. The album climbed to the number two spot on the Billboard 200 thanks to more than 100,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release, and has since earned a Gold certification.
Looking to keep the momentum going, the Houston star has unveiled a new visual from the project for the d.a. got that dope-produced “Cry Baby,” which features an assist from past collaborator DaBaby and sees the two artists comparing sexual body counts:
“Deeper, deeper, I need a reaper, thought I was in trouble how he tearin’ them cheeks up, keep me a freak, who the flavor of the week? If I make up the rules, then I don’t think it’s cheatin’/
Jordan, Tommy, Timothy, Daniel, might let Jonathan bring in Sarah, bitch tryna brag about taking my man, hah, I needed me a n***a off my hands/”
The video is directed by Colin Tilley and begins with an intro from social media star BlameitonKway, before turning into what looks like a twisted version of Toy Story, complete with plenty of twerk action from Megan and her dancers, a race through the toy store by DaBaby, and much more. At some point BlameitonKway — who apparently manages said shop — returns to a big mess caused by the artists and the other toys.
In addition to Good News, 2020 also saw Megan releasing the well-received Suga, a 9-track offering with a couple of collaborations alongside Kehlani and Gunna. DaBaby had himself a banner year as well — he released his second number one album BLAME IT ON BABY in April, along with its stand-alone deluxe upgrade a few months later.
