Today, DaBaby makes his first official entry into 2021 with his new single “Masterpiece,” which is produced by d.a. got that dope and is mostly centered around the North Carolina star professing his love for his girlfriend DaniLeigh:
“I got this lil’ boo thing, soon as I went a got her a purse, put my Glock in it, like bae, you my bitch now, she know I don’t mean no disrespect, I just talk different…/
My lil’ bitch is a masterpiece, I don’t even gotta be funny when I’m tellin’ no jokes, she still gon’ laugh at me, still suck my dick when she mad at me/”
The video comes courtesy of Gemini Vision and, following a raucous intro featuring Billion Dollar Baby artist Stunna 4 Vegas, sees DaBaby living the life with DaniLeigh and other loved ones for his birthday — riding in luxury cars, showing off jewelry, dancing around near a private plane, and other things of that nature.
As was 2019, last year became a huge success for DaBaby, who released his third studio LP BLAME IT ON BABY in April. The project saw 13 cuts and additional features from Quavo, Future, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Megan Thee Stallion, and more. BLAME IT ON BABY also earned DaBaby his second number one album on the Billboard 200 thanks to 124,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release — the Roddy Ricch-assisted single “ROCKSTAR” landed at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 as well. Months later, a deluxe version of BLAME IT ON BABY would surface, adding on 11 additional tracks.
Press play on DaBaby’s “Masterpiece” below. Given his incredible work ethic over the past few years, one can expect a new body of work — and plenty of features — from the hip hop frontrunner sooner than later.
