Back in November, French Montana released his CB5 project, the fifth installment of his highly popular Coke Boys series that saw 19 tracks and additional features from Jim Jones, Pop Smoke, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Benny The Butcher, A$AP Rocky, Curren$y, and more. Today, the South Bronx star liberates a new visual from the project for “Hot Boy Bling,” which is produced by jetsonmade, Jasper Harris, Star Boy, and 1st Class and sees French Montana trading verses about living the rich playboy lifestyle alongside Jack Harlow and Lil Durk:
“Ball like Telfair, Sebastian, got a ‘mil for every word in your caption, I left them brown bag under the mattress, got the thing tucked, came through the back with it, everybody rich, started from the trap with us/
Shawty bad, might pick her, no cap with it, run it up, came back to the trap with it, 20 years in the game, still that n***a…/”
The video comes courtesy of Eif Rivera and sees French Montana and Jack Harlow in a scene straight out of Mad Max, with destroyed buildings, shelled-out vehicles, and other signed of a post-apocalyptic landscape. Lil Durk makes an appearance through apparent green screen technology, making for one of the more creative ways of bringing artists together in spite of the still-active pandemic.
“Hot Boy Bling” follows previously released visuals for the CB5 standouts “Double G,” “Wave Blues,” “Paradise,” “FMTU,” “You Deserve An Oscar,” “So Real,” and “Too Late.” A week after the release of CB5, a deluxe edition surfaced with five additional tracks — unfortunately, the upgrade quickly disappeared from streaming platforms with no explanation. Hopefully, those songs will make an official return sooner than later.
