Just last month, Jim Jones blessed hip-hop lovers with a deluxe upgrade of last year’s El Capo, which provided listeners with 15 new tracks and fresh collaborations with Juelz Santana, Maino, Conway The Machine, late artist Fred The Godson, and more. Just before the year comes to a close, the veteran rapper shows he’s not quite done yet, as he drops of a brand new collaboration with one of 2020’s busiest producers Harry Fraud titled “Bada Bing.” The new track features a guest verse from fellow NY spitter French Montana, and is the first taste of the upcoming collab project from Jones and Fraud titled Fraud Department, which is set to drop at the top of next year.
The El Capo project originally contained 16 cuts and a healthy roster of features from names like of Trav, Fat Joe, Rick Ross, Cam’ron, Fabolous, Curren$y, and Jadakiss. More recently, he dropped off the socially and politically charged numbers “The People,” “Election,” and reunited with the Diplomats in the music video for the Diplomatic Ties standout “By Any Means.” He also shared a music video for his Dave East-assisted cut “Pardon My Thoughts.” In addition to El Capo (Deluxe), this year has seen Jones providing featured verses on dope cuts like Grafh’s “Customer,” Philthy Rich’s “Miami Quarantining,” Millyz’s “Heightened Senses,” Vado’s “Checkmate,” Tsu Surf’s “Careful Who You Love,” and DJ Kay Slay’s “Man Down.”
French Montana’s guest appearance follows his previously released videos from Montana’s latest body of work for “Double G,” “Wave Blues,” “Paradise,” “FMTU,” and “You Deserve An Oscar.” In addition to the initial CB5 release, French Montana dropped a deluxe version that added on five additional tracks for fans to enjoy. This year also saw some loose cuts from the New York emcee, including “Cold” with Tory Lanez and “That’s A Fact,” the latter of which also saw a remix alongside Brooklyn drill star Fivio Foreign.
