As of late, Megan Thee Stallion has found herself in the news for much more than music — a common and unfortunate side-affect of rising super-stardom. Today, she switches gears and gets back to the music with her new single “Don’t Stop,” which features assistance from Young Thug and sees production from Buddah Bless. The track is the Houston star’s first since June’s Eazy-E-sampled “Girls in the Hood,” which peaked within the top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100.
Megan’s last project was March’s Suga, which boasted nine tracks and features from Kehlani and Gunna. The EP debuted at the top 10 spot on the Billboard 200 thanks to 41,000 album equivalent units sold, and even spawned the chart-topping remix to the viral cut “Savage” featuring Beyoncé.
In addition to her solo work, The self-proclaimed Stallion has also been busy providing features on her peer’s releases, including Moneybagg Yo’s “All Dat,” Yo Gotti’s “Pose,” Gucci Mane’s “Big Booty,” Phony Ppl’s “Fkn Around,” Tyga’s “Freak,” and Young Dolph’s “RNB.” Last month also saw Megan Thee Stallion join forces with Cardi B on “WAP,” which has since both charted at number one and earned the artists a well-deserved Platinum plaque.
Young Thug has been busy as well. In addition to the May release of Slime & B with Chris Brown, the Atlanta rapper has spent his year jumping on tracks with the likes of Machine Gun Kelly, Aminé, DaBaby, Trippie Redd, T.I., Migos, and Travis Scott. His debut studio album So Much Fun, was released back in 2019 and boasted 19 tracks and featured assists from Future, 21 Savage, J. Cole, and loads more. So Much Fun also became Thugger’s first number one album, thanks to an impressive 131,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release.
