This past weekend, Machine Gun Kelly liberated his fifth studio album Tickets To My Downfall, a Travis Barker-produced expansion into the punk rock genre that sees 15 tracks and features from Halsey, Trippie Redd, Blackbear, and Iann Dior. This week, he drops off a new visual from the project for “drunk face,” which sees additional production from Kelly, Omer Fedi, and Nick Mira and centers on living life and relationship regrets:

“I’m overcompensating for heartbreak, I swallowed a pill that wasn’t a heart shape, her hands on my chest, feelin’ my heartbeat, she spillin’ her drink all on my car seat/

She’ll get attached and then trap me, then I gotta act like I’m happy, she posts pics to get at me, déjà vu, this like last week/

I’m still young, wasting my youth, I’ll grow up next summer…/”

The accompanying visual comes courtesy of Mod Sun, and — as the beginning of the clip explains — was filmed “on the day Tickets To My Downfall came out.” To the surprise of very few, MGK spent that day pretty much all over the place, as viewers can see him on a private jet with girlfriend Megan Fox, getting lit with friends, and being energetic throughout his residence while reciting the track’s emo-styled lyrics.

Prior to Tickets To My Downfall, Machine Gun Kelly released a slew of loose singles, including “Misery Business” with Barker, “Sorry Mama” with Phem, “Why Are You Here,” and the hip hop posse cut “Bullets With Names” alongside former tour mate Young Thug, RJmrLA, and Lil Duke. The new album also follows its genre-bending predecessor Hotel Diablo, which was released in 2019 and saw collabs with the likes of Trippie Redd, Lil Skies, YUNGBLUD, and Madison Love over 14 cuts.
