Chris Brown and Young Thug joined forces earlier this year to drop their collab project Slime & B. After Breezy was teasing the upcoming content for a few days, the duo finally dropped the animated music video for “Say You Love Me.” As a breath of fresh air from the more standard party music videos most are used to, the new Mat Fuller-directed visual creatively shows Thugger and Chris Brown venturing through a fantasy outer space land filled with mystical creatures and two beautiful women they’re following throughout their journey. “Say You Love Me” is co-produced by Joseph L’Étranger, Murda Beatz, and OG Parker.
Slime & B peaked at No. 24 on the Billboard 200 and it’s lead single, “Go Crazy” climbed all the way to crack the top 10 on the Hot 100 chart last month, thanks to a viral dance challenge to boost the love the track got. The two also released a “Go Crazy” music video back in July, which was directed by Mat Fuller as well.
Both artists are reportedly currently working on 2020 releases. Young Thug announced the forthcoming Punk last fall, while Chris Brown unveiled the name of his 10th studio album, titled BREEZY, via social media earlier this year. Thugger’s last full-length solo project So Much Funcame out in 2019 followed by a deluxe version. The successful project featured frequent collaborators like Lil Baby, Future, Quavo, and Travis Scott. The project went on to receive a platinum certification from the RIAA.
Earlier this year, Chris Brown added yet another accolade to his already impressive resume and made Billboard history. In May, he became the first R&B artist to achieve 100 entries on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. Drake, the “Glee” cast, Lil Wayne, Elvis Presley, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West and JAY-Z are the only other artists who have at least 100 Hot 100 entries.
