Kendrick being listed as a headliner raised speculation that he will possibly be dropping new music soon. He hasn’t released an album since delivering DAMN. back in April 2017. Although and he and his Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) camp have remained quiet about any music, earlier this month, The Game revealed that the fellow Compton emcee would be making his return “real soon.”
While applauding J. Cole’s No. 1 album The Off-Season, Game said he recently spoke to Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, TDE’s founder, about the “Humble” rapper.
“Like I said before, I talked to Top Dawg. You know, he told me Kendrick ‘bout to hit niggas with some shit real soon and shit,” he said. “So, you know, who knows how real soon that is, but if Kendrick is working, that shit is always major and that’s my nigga. Love that nigga to death — all of TDE.”
