After wishing he was part of the celebrity basketball event during All Star Weekend, Chris Brown will get the opportunity to show off his skills. The “Go Crazy” singer is set to face Romeo Miller in a one-on-one basketball game.
“Chris already hit me. He hit me in the DM. He’s like, ‘Man, let’s go get this money, baby,’” Miller announced on Fox Soul’s “The Mix.” He then proceeded to show the messages in their DM exchange.
During the episode, the talk show host gave props to Quavo, The Game, J. Cole and other rappers who have skills on the court, but he claimed that the “No Guidance” vocalist — who he beat in Power 106’s celebrity basketball game in 2014 — was the only one equipped to compete against him in a game of ball.
“When it comes to tier one, I know me and Chris is at the top,” he said. “Just throw the invite. Let me come in to some of these open runs that they’ve been doing. You just gon’ see.”
Miller’s announcement comes days after Breezy reacted to Bleacher Report’s Open Run celebrity basketball game that saw Quavo and Jack Harlow taking the win against Lil Baby and 2 Chainz.
“They knew who not to ask for on that 2 on 2 basketball,” the singer wrote on Instagram. “I would’ve cooked Quavo and Jack! On my soul! Guess they wanted a smoke free zone.”
Similarly, Jim Jones believed he and fellow Dipset member Cam’ron had the ability to beat the winning team. “I was lookin’ at these little All-Star 2-on-2s or whatever. Me and Cam would’ve smoked Quavo and Jack Harlow. Did them lil niggas bad,” he said. “Y’all need to call some real playas sometime. I’m here.”
Though it’s not clear whether Quavo noticed Jones’ post, the Migos member didn’t think Brown was any competition. “Chris Brown AINT Cookin NAN,” he said. “Call next Nigga!!!”
The date for the forthcoming game between Miller and Brown was not disclosed.
