Romeo Miller and Bow Wow’s names were trending earlier this year after a fan suggested the two former child stars face-off on the Instagram series, Verzuz. Although it seems the two rappers won’t be battling with hits anytime soon, those who want to learn more about their respective rises to fames are in for a treat.
On Wednesday (Aug. 12), Romeo announced on Instagram that a documentary about himself and Bow Wow is already in the works.
“For the culture, instead of a versuz I already hit Bow Wow to do a documentary, side by side reminiscing on our historic young careers together,” Romeo captioned a post. “Stay tuned and this is how we celebrate each other. God is real.”
Both artists came up together around the same time, with a 13-year-old Bow Wow releasing his first-ever album, Beware of Dog, in 2000 and a then-Lil’ Romeo dropping off his self-titled debut the following year. Both rappers were also fixtures on video countdown shows like MTV’s “Total Request Live” and BET’s “106 & Park.” So, although fans were quick to crown Bow Wow with more hits in a potential Verzuz battle, the pair were career counterparts throughout the 2000’s.
Romeo has already been telling his career story in the “No Limit: Chronicles” series, which documents Master P’s famous record label.
“I hope you guys enjoy the NoLimit Chronicles finale tonight on [BET]!” Romeo wrote in his Instagram post. “Five episodes wasn’t enough for this legendary legacy and I can’t wait to continue to produce even more NoLimit content! With that being said, I bet yall never knew that a lil rapper kid by the name of Lil Romeo actually helped save his father’s [Master P’s] empire huh? Just like my pops story, you think you know but you have no idea! My career has truly been unique and on some real life monarchy s*it ha.”
