Back in June, GoldLink released his third studio LP HARAM!, a 15-track body of work that saw a slew of additional appearances from Bibi Bourelly, NLE Choppa, Rich The Kid, Santigold, Jesse Boykins III, Pressa, and more. Yesterday (Sept. 9), the D.C. area talent unveiled a new video from said project for “Raindrops,” a collaboration alongside fellow XXL Freshman Flo Milli that sees the two harmonizing about sex, fame, and more:
“Call me on my cellyphone, hate when you leave me alone, I don’t like to Instagram, I don’t like when you be out, I just want yo fine ass home, I know exes hate me now can’t date you so thеy hate you now … all I hear is raindrops, I want range wit’ nеw top, when I post the news stop, if I post my nudes I, have the world like ooh, ahh…”
The video for “Raindrops” comes courtesy of Ray Fiasco and — judging from the credits in its description — was filmed in different locations on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. The clip is essentially filled with parodies of Viacom music channels and Drake’s iconic “Hotline Bling” visual, complete with GoldLink performing inside of an in-the-box effect and on a flight of stairs leading to nowhere. In addition to Flo Milli’s memorable appearance, viewers can also see what looks like anime-esque breakdancing game being “played” throughout.
Press play on “Raindrops.” In related news, GoldLink recently announced his fall tour in support of HARAM! — dates for that can be seen below, while tickets can be purchased here.
