Phora is hitting his stride once again. Three weeks ago, he continued a 2017 track by unveiling “Numb Pt. 2” and the intense music video to match. Now he makes his swift return with “Summer Luv.” The new 6th Element-directed visual sees Phora having a fun time at a summer pool party before things take a cinematic turn. As he chills while leaning on a nice whip, rose petals surrounding him and his girl, Phora delivers his opening verse:

I’ma give you love like you ain’t had it, fuck around with me, get my name tatted/ Ever since you know who, I’ve been a straight savage, but baby girl, for you, I’m tryna change habits/ You know my life, I’m tryna throw a couple bands, I ain’t been the type to really hold nobody’s hand

After teasing fans with his “Loaded Gun” visual a few months ago, Phora officially unleashed his latest project heartbreak hotel. Equipped with seven tracks and a feature from Destiny Rogers, the new project speaks to love, heartbreak, mental health and perspectives on emotional hardships.

In November, Phora released his album With Love II via his own imprint Yours Truly Records, now an independent artist after spending a chunk of his career with Warner Records. In celebration of the release, he shared an official lyric video of one of the stand out tracks “This Weekend” featuring Ty Dolla $ign. The project was preceded by singles like “Stars In The Sky” feat. Jhene Aiko, “Cupid’s Curse” feat. Kehlani, and the visual for “Traumatized” feat. Toosii.
