On July 30, Dave East and Harry Fraud will deliver their new project HOFFA, which was first announced during an event at Westside Gunn’s Buffalo Kids Gallery — it was also the same event where fans and peers alike were able to check out the album’s official artwork, a painting created by Mariella Angela. HOFFA will see 14 tracks with a slew of features from G Herbo, Jim Jones, French Montana, Curren$y, late rapper Kiing Shooter, and more.
Today, the duo unload a new single from the forthcoming release titled “Diamonds,” which sees East on a stream of consciousness about the streets, money, and more:
“Used to wish I can kick it, fuck school, I gotta trap today, ain’t care what momma think, I felt like Tom Hanks on Cast Away, the package landed Wednesday, tryna get it off by Saturday, even better by Friday, Frank Sinatra, this my way, we do ‘em like the mob, clip ‘em, backin’ out his driveway…”
Once release, HOFFA will follow Pablo & Blanco, a six-track EP by East and Massachusetts emcee Millyz that made landfall back in May. Meanwhile, Harry Fraud has also been enjoying a rather prolific 2021 — this year has already seen him drop The Fraud Department with Jim Jones, Borrowed Time with Dark Lo, and The Plugs I Met 2 with Benny The Butcher.
