Just last month, Curren$y and the Jet Life family came together to deliver Welcome To Jet Life Recordings 2. The 14-track body of work includes appearances from the members of the home team, including names like Fendi P, T.Y., Black Cobain, Jay Worthy, and more. To continue the momentum of the release, Curren$y taps in with Scotty ATL to present the official visual for “Ride.” On the track, the Jet Life head honcho takes the first verse, which has bars about his favorite subject, cars:
She wan’ know if I’m coming back and I don’t like answering questions/ I got a potna be popping pills, he tryna deal with his depression/ I got my eye on the Miami mansion as soon as I get it, I hit the studio, turn notebook paper into a Bentley/ Driving it like a bat out of hell but heaven sent me, tires scratch off like a lottery ticket/ My cars so fast and dangerous you have to take a class before you get it
The album serves as the follow up to the collective’s first Welcome To Jet Life Recordings album released in December 2020. That project had 10 tracks and appearances from familiar names like T.Y., G Style, Black Cobain, Alia Fieury, and more. It boasts some fan favorites like “Just Came Home” and “Neighborhood Superstar.
Curren$y has to given his fanbase plenty of music to indulge in these last few months, including The Tonite Show with Curren$y with DJ Fresh, Spring Clean with Fuse, his label compilation Welcome to Jet Life Recordings, The OutRunners, The Director’s Cut, and Bonus Footage — the last three of which were also created alongside Fraud. This year alone, he’s already blessed the masses with two projects — his tenth studio LP Collection Agency and the NFT-only Financial District, which included an exclusive virtual smoke session.
