Back in September, rising star Bryon Juane released his latest body of work Promise I’m Not Crazy, a six track EP that sees a single assist from Ayo N Keyz’s songwriter Itstaylormade. Fans of the North Carolinian talent also got to enjoy visuals for standout cuts “LSD,” “Nice Guy,” and “Guilty.” Now, Juane returns to wax with his latest single “When It’s Real,” a WEARETHEGOOD-produced offering that’s described as “a fun song about celebrating authentic and honest love while wholeheartedly embracing what it brings to you.” The light-hearted cut also sees Juane singing to his love interest about her past relationship and what he brings differently:
“He did the bare minimum, I heard it’s the last, it was pitiful, he gave you damage, baby, but I’m about action, I’ll give ‘em syllables, no, you ain’t had what you really needed, it’s true, take a dive with me on the deep end, I got you, baby, that’s your sign, girl, I see you, you ain’t just anyone, please believe me…”
Courtesy of 413 Creatives comes a matching visual for “When It’s Real” that begins with Juane and his leading lady on FaceTime, giving off the kind of newness we can all probably relate to. After some preparation, he then hosts his significant other for a nice day vibe — relaxing under the sun, playing the piano while the girl looks on, and other clear indications of love in bloom.
Back in 2019, Juane teamed up with his Reflection Music Group teammates Derek Minor and Canon for the joint projects Going Up and Whole Team Winning, the latter of which also featured contributions from Tony Tillman, Greg James, and Poetics. More recently, Juane also blessed the masses with loose cuts like “M.I.A.” with Aaron Cole, “Afraid,” and “No Enemies” with Bizzle.
