Back in April, Lil Yachty blessed the masses with Michigan Boy Boat, a conceptual offering that saw him collaborating with some of the Wolverine State’s dopest emcees. This past weekend, the Atlanta star unloaded a new visual from that project for “Plastic,” which features Icewear Vezzo and Rio Da Yung OG and sees the artists rapping about street life, women, drugs, and more:
“Me and Vezzo don’t do double cups, yeah, we triple stackin’ it, lucky I came in with my bitch, them hoes, I would’ve cracked ‘em, last nigga speak on my name, a random person jacked him, if I die, I’ll be on CNN like Michael Jackson, not ‘cause I died, but who I brought with me, don’t let my bitch drink at all in case I need a kidney…”
Directed by Ethan Iverson for AMD Visuals, the black-and-white clip shows the rappers with their respective crews in a large room and in the middle of a studio session. Elsewhere, Yachty & Co. hit up a strip club where Rio Da Yung OG performs at — a bittersweet moment given the fact that, as the end of the clip reveals, the rising Flint rapper is currently in prison for gun charges with “intent to distribute controlled substances.” Prior to his incarceration, Rio took to Instagram to send a message to his fans and supporters:
“I’m doing 5 years for some shit I ain’t know was going on but I take full responsibility cause I know what comes wit this street shit … Thank you god for putting me through this situation cause it really opened my eyes and show me how to deal wit people.”
“Plastic” follows previously released videos for the Rio Da Yung OG-assisted cut “Stunt Double.” In addition, fans could also check out documentary series titled “THE MAKING OF MICHIGAN BOY BOAT,” which showed viewers how the aforementioned album came together.
