He might have been kind of slept on in his earlier days, but it’s clear as day (at least it should be) that Lil Yachty is a menace when it comes to this music shit. Since his arrival on the scene back in 2015, Lil Boat has been relentlessly ridiculed for his style overall by many — but one thing that really isn’t up for debate is the music. From writing some of your favorite anthems from other artists to dropping, to releasing audio dope himself, to single handedly lacing every feature he’s on, Yachty is one of a kind and should start getting his flowers very soon. Today, he decided to join the music release fun with the arrival of his new mixtape Michigan Boy Boat.
Some could say that Lil Yachty makes his music around the spring and summer and despite that he could do it year round, this could be a great argument for some people. His latest smash “Hit Bout It” alongside Kodak Black has been doing numbers and that alone had fans eager for what he had to deliver next — not knowing that it would be an entire project.
Taking to social media to announce the arrival of Michigan Boy Boat with a simple, yet effective message “It’s time to rap guys 4-23-21,” we already knew what time it was! Although he’s from Georgia, the project’s title could be confusing to some. But, if you know Yachty and how he’s been moving lately, you’d understand how hard he rocks with Detroit and their music sound (you should definitely check out records like “Krispy Boat,” “Run Down” and more on Youtube if you haven’t already).
Michigan Boy Boat is one of a kind and is most certainly a great look for Quality Control. Right now would be a decent time to smell the coffee if you’ve been snoozing on Yachty this whole time. Peep his latest below.
