Rio Da Yung OG has recruited Lil Yachty for his latest single “1v1.” Lil Boat puts on his videographer hat for this one, as the video starts off with Lil Yachty getting behind the lens and filming scenes for the video himself, as the rest of the video flips between shots of the two rappers strolling around in a convenience store and them riding around in the whip. Over the Enrgy Beats-produced song, Rio Da Yung OG matches the Detroit bounce of the song:
“Damn she cute and she thick, I’ll trick on it. Walkin’ through the Valley with my stick on me. Baby girl, these is not McQueens, these Rick Owens. Wait ‘til my b**ch daddy go to sleep, hit a lick on him. He soft, back in the day my daddy took a half a brick from him. Movin’ ‘round six cars deep like it’s a hit on me. Hundred round drum on the AR, I’m tryna hit somethin’.”
Earlier this year in March, Rio Da Yung Og dropped his project City On My Back. The 15-track project saw features from Babyface Ray and Icewear Vezzo. Most recently, he appeared on Loue Ray’s new single “Can’t Smoke” from earlier this month. Before City On My Back was 2019’s Professional Shit Talking, 2 Faced , Testers Pt. 1 & 2, and two installments of his Dum and Dumber series with Rmc Mike.
The last full-length project from Lil Yachty was Lil Boat 3 from earlier this year in May. In a recent interview, Yacthy shares his advice for anyone who is trying to maintain a transition between school and a career:
“If they’re trying to do something like me I’d say just stay creative. It’s all about being innovative. You’ve gotta have those eyes on you and make that next move that’s gonna grab the attention of the world. Again, Tyler is a perfect example. He ate that bug, man! He hung the noose and just went for it.”
