Earlier this month, Lil Durk and his Only The Family collective unveiled their latest compilation Loyal Bros, which contained 23 cuts and appearances from members like Booka600, Memo600, ThF Zoo, Doodie Lo, Chief Wuk, Jusblow600, Ikey, Hypno Carlito, and the late King Von alongside the likes of Tee Grizzley, Foogiano, EST Gee, and Lil Uzi Vert. The project landed the Chicago-based artists an impressive twelfth spot on the Billboard 200 following its first week of release.
For their latest, OTF liberate a new visual from Loyal Bros for “JUMP,” which sees Durk, Von, Booka600, and Memo600 handling the heavy lifting over production from RMG Nu. To little surprise, the posse cut sees the rappers reminding listeners why they’re not the ones to be crossed:
“These niggas hoes, you know, I know, he think he slick, I know he told, I’m on the road, still totin’ pole, my gun be hot, your shit be cold, if you get caught, you better not fold, he had a case, his bond on hold/
He still locked up, it’s takin’ long, she wanna know when he comin’ home, see, shit it’ll get real, you ever been on a drill? When no one you shot got killed? I’m just keepin’ it real…/”
The accompanying clip starts off with Booka and Memo turning up at a packed house party full of money, women, and red cups. At some point, Booka departs to deliver some money to King Von in order to finish an apparent business deal – making for a bittersweet moment in the clip. As the currency changes hands, Durkio raps his verse from the backseat of a Rolls Royce nearby. Hopefully, this is a sign that there are more than a few posthumous appearances from Von still in the proverbial vault.
