Coi Leray is definitely one of the hottest artists right now — largely in part thanks to her latest hit single “No More Parties,” which went viral on Tik Tok thanks to countless users uploading videos dancing to the track. Produced by Okaykhan and Maaly Raw, the song is also notable for Leray revelations about her relationship with her father, who happens to be hip hop veteran-turned-reality star Benzino:
“I’m too busy getting this money, counting this cheddar, my daddy let me down, but I promise you, I won’t let up, I wanna say fuck that man but the shit won’t make me bеtter, me and my brother still beefin’ right now, ‘cause he ain’t get that letter…/”
A mere day following the song’s release, Leray revealed that she wanted Lil Durk to join her on the infectious cut — and through the magic of social media, he quickly agreed. Fast-forward to now, and the collaborators have gifted us with “No More Parties (Remix),” and Durk effortlessly matches Leray’s subject matter with melodies about his close-knit crew, girlfriend India Royale, and more:
“You been cutting me out, you’ve been stuck in the clout, I gave you money through the pandemic when you was just stuck in the house/”
Last year, Coi Leray liberated her latest EP Now or Never, which contained six tracks and additional appearances from Gunna, Sevyn Streeter, Kiana Ledé, and Fetty Wap. In a past interview with REVOLT, Leray spoke on the meaning behind that title:
“Sometimes, if [the record label feels] like we’ve got to take certain steps to get to the next level to be a superstar, then we’ve got to do that. At the same time though, I’ve still got to be an artist and drop music. It’s either now or never, we’ve got to apply pressure.”
