J Stone closed out his 2020 by unleashing his latest project The Definition of Pain. We’ve seen a few visuals from him since then, and his latest offering is the official video for “Last of a Dyin’ Breed.” In the video, Stone enjoys his time poolside while he spits some truth-filled bars:
Grind in the winter, summertime buy a Bentley truck. Last album topped the charts, you can’t say it was beginner’s luck./ If you don’t stand for something, you gon’ fall for anything. I’m on my Malcolm X shit, get mines by any means necessary. My heart turned cold like the month of February/ Every year I face my fears, I ain’t ever scary. Plus I know God got me so I ain’t ever worried. Just another chapter of a thug n***a.
The new video follows a few others from the project. His most recent one was “Soul Search,” and prior to that, J Stone connected with Dave East for “What’s Beef?” and also linked up with E-40 to shoot and share the music video for their collab track “Hella Toasted.”
Last year saw the release of two J Stone projects, The Definition of Pain and Ground Zero. The new project is equipped with 18 tracks in total and boasts features from impressive and respected names like the late great Nipsey Hussle, T.I., Dom Kennedy, T-Pain, Mike D’Angelo, Dave East, and more. Ground Zero is a collaboration project with Pacman da Gunman. Prior to those two projects was 2019’s The Definition of Loyalty. J Stone also confirmed in a new interview with The Bootleg Kev Podcast that a posthumous Nipsey Hussle is definitely happening at some point.
