After dropping off the deluxe version of No Love Lost at the top of this month, Blxst and Dom Kennedy made sure to link up and provide a visual to paint the picture (literally) of their collaborative hit “Got It All.” The new visual opens up with the smooth sample of The Spinners’ “I Found Love (When I Found You)” and later sees Blxst and Dom being captivated by the beautiful art on display at a gallery, with the main attraction being the very woman the hook is inspired by:
“Not the type of n***a to brag, my lady got it all. Ayy, yeah she poppin’ but never poppin’ off. Plus she bad and bougie to top it off. Tell whoever trippin’ they can knock it off. Not the type of n***a to brag, lil’ baby got it all, yeah. Am I wrong to just want to show you off?”
As a proud West Coast representative, Blxst made sure his co-pilot on the track exuded Los Angeles spirit as well. “To me, Dom Kennedy is the epitome of LA,” Blxst tells REVOLT about the collaboration. “It was only right to link up and capture a classic moment, while highlighting women who ‘Got It All.’”
If there’s one thing Blxst is going to do, he’s going to ensure the delivery of his visuals is carefully calculated and premeditated. His most recent offering prior to “Got It All” was the cinematic video for “Pressure,” which was a track released only recently on the deluxe version of the project. However, it positioned itself as a bridge between the two drops, and put the final nail in the coffin in his storyline driven video series that started months prior with the original No Love Lost EP. The series included visuals for “Overrated,” “Gang Slide,” “No Love Lost,” and “Be Alone.”
The No Love Lost EP included eight new tracks and no features to let Blxst have his solo shine. In 2019, he released a collaboration project with Bino Rideaux titled Sixtape. Blxst initially started earning notoriety for his production work and collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, YG, Mozzy, G Perico, Eric Bellinger, Bino Rideaux and more. Blxst has shared his talent this year on Mozzy’s singles “I Ain’t Perfect” and “Streets Ain’t Safe,” as well as Bino Rideaux’s “Brand New.”
