Last year, Omarion dropped off his The Kinection album including appearances from names like Busy Signal, Wale, T-Pain, and Ghostface Killah. He now makes his return with his latest single “Ex” and recruited his frequent collaborators Soulja and Bow Wow for some assistance. On the track, O uses the title to his advantage as he gives us some word play:
Say bye to your ex baby, I’ma be your exit/ Sex me, why you distant? I can see it’s probably been a minute/ You done lost your smile, where it’s at? Girl, it’s missin/ Company will probably get you lifted/ This ain’t friends only, put your hands on me/
Westside come and slip and slide when you’re horny/ Backshots the only shots that you get from me/ I’ma have her like oh, wanted more, but keep it lowkey, lowkey/ Say bye to your ex, I can be your exit, Say bye to your ex, I can be your exit/
Soulja Boy has blessed the masses with recent tracks like “Rick & Morty,” “Copy & Paste” with T.I., and the five-track EP Rich Off a Computer. He also remixed his hit “She Make It Clap” with the aid of French Montana. He also liberated his Big Draco project, which saw 12 tracks and additional appearances from Omarion, Desiigner, Tadoe, and Bow Wow.
Omarion is a veteran in the music game and he’s still going strong. In a previous interview with REVOLT, Omarion spoke about what inspires him to continue to make music today:
“There’s something powerful about real time and being in your truth. Everything motivates me. I really want to always encourage people to move and dance. I always want to bring that joy. That’s my vibration. All my music, even if it’s a heartbreaking experience, it’ll always end on a high note. You have some good takeaways, that’s what motivates me to continue on.
