Back in March, REVOLT reported that the Griselda Records imprint had recruited the Buffalo emcee Armani Caesar as part of their camp. This week, she delivers a new single titled “Simply Done,” which features assistance from Benny The Butcher and legendary producer DJ Premier. As is signature from the Griselda camp, Armani keeps things very street on her latest cut:

Westside Gunn best described Griselda’s reasoning for recruiting a versatile artist like Armani Caesar in a social media post earlier this year:

“WSG x CONWAY x BENNY x DARINGER and now introducing BUFFALO’s OWN [Armani Caesar] Newest Member of GRISELDA. It was All about timing. This was over a decade in the making she’s a hustler, she comes from the same streets as US and actually started with us. Were about to get busy So I want EVERYBODY to follow her and Support her. I’m taking her to Alchemist right now we’re not waiting lol…. Also imagine somebody with Bars, can turn up on these hoes and look as beautiful as this … it’s a new day.”

In addition to his assist, Benny The Butcher has been busy promoting his latest project The Respected Sopranos, which acts as an introduction to his Black Soprano Family collective. The project was released alongside DJ Drama as part of the Atlanta-based producer’s iconic Gangsta Grillz mixtape series.
