Since late last year, YG has been delivering loose tracks for his fans to enjoy, including the Tyga and Santana-assisted “Mamacita,” the Kehlani duet “Konclusions,” “FTP,” “Swag,” and the title track to his forthcoming album Laugh Now Kry Later! Now, he adds to that with a new single titled “Equinox,” which features assistance from his 4HUNNID-signed artist Day Sulan and keeps things very adults only.
Already making waves on her own, Day Sulan spoke to REVOLT about being the first lady of YG’s 4HUNNID imprint:
“It means a lot. YG’s putting a lot of work into me. He’s going hard for me which only makes me want to go that much harder. I have some shit to accomplish because of how much he’s done for me. Making me the first lady of 4HUNNID, I have to go crazy. It’s not an option, it’s a mandatory thing.”
Prior to his more recent singles, YG dropped off last year’s 4Real 4Real, his fourth studio album that saw 14 tracks and additional assists from Tyga, Valee, Boogie, Meek Mill, Arin Ray, Kamaiyah, G-Eazy, Ty Dolla $ign, DaBaby, and more. Prior to that, he dropped off the equally well-received albums My Krazy Life, Still Brazy, and Stay Dangerous in 2014, 2016, and 2018, respectively. Late last month, the Compton rapper appeared on The Morning Hustle to speak on his questionable run in with police, which took place earlier this year and adds to the importance of the protests happening today:
“They go up in the room and they got their AKs all in my kids face like ‘Don’t move…’” I’m like, bro, what the f**k is y’all doing? Y’all got me f***ed up. They are doing this to my little kids. And these are little girls.”
Press play on “Equinox” below. In addition to YG, fans can expect plenty more from Day Sulan as well.
