This past Friday, Kamaiyah decided to celebrate Juneteenth with a new release titled “Black Excellence,” which sees her keeping things pro-Black over bouncy production from Link Up:

The clip keeps with her previous weekend drops, with Kamaiyah keeping things fly and exuding confidence while performing the infectious cut around a mansion with her crew. The flashy clip follows the equally dope “Extravagant,” “Go Crazy,” and “Project Baby.”

Kamaiyah has also been active on social media in regards to the recent death of George Floyd following an arrest in Minneapolis, sending a powerful message on how she feels about the matter:

“George Floyd was someone’s son, father, uncle, cousin and friend. When will enough be enough for us to start seeing the bigger picture? This country is built on institutionalized racism the same person who is pulling the trigger will be protected by the officials we fail to vote out of office who governors our state and our cities. The same judge who will be responsible for convicting the parties involved for this injustice will be appointed by these same people. They’ve stop wearing a mask and started wearing a badge.“
