Last week, Polo G liberated his sophomore studio album The GOAT, which sees 16 new tracks from the Chicago artist and features from Mike WiLL Made-It, Mustard, Juice WRLD, Lil Baby, Stunna 4 Vegas, NLE Choppa, and more. Following videos for “DND,” “Go Stupid,” and “Heartless,” Polo returns with a new clip for “33,” which is produced by DJ Ayo and is named after famed Chicago Bulls player Scottie Pippen:
“High off ecstasy and that codeine what I’m sippin’, this new Glock got thirty-three, Scottie Pippen/
B***h, all of my n***as bangin’ C’s like we Crippin’, girl, you got what I need, what I been missing/
Let’s take that chance, want you to see that I’m different, back then, tryna find myself, I couldn’t believe how I was trippin’/
No neighbors in the mountains, palm trees, that’s how I’m living, every time that I pop out, bustdown VVs, designer drippin’/”
The Ryan Lynch-directed video show Polo and his crew running the streets of Chicago, which looks eerily empty given the Coronavirus pandemic. Regardless, money and wealth still flows for the artist despite the quarantine, as he makes clear in the clip.
Hits Daily Double has reported that the album is projected to move 85 to 95 thousand album equivalent units its first week, a huge increase from his studio debut Die A Legend.
During a recent interview with “Everyday Struggle,” Polo G spoke on how he’s been dealing with life during quarantine and social distancing protocols:
I don’t think everybody else care about it, ‘cause I know me coming into the studio, I got my mask on, I got my gloves on, everybody just got liquor in their hands looking at me like I’m crazy… I ain’t an entourage type of person in general.
