When the clock strikes midnight, Lil Durk will liberate his latest project Just Cause Y’all Waited II, which will see 15 new tracks from the Chicago rapper and features from Gunna, G Herbo, and more. Before the release, the Chicago star gifts his fans with one more track titled “Three Headed Goat,” which features assistance from Lil Baby and Polo G and sees the collaborators keeping it street over production from Cicero and Aviator Keyz:
“These ain’t no Guess jeans, I dropped out of school, I’m still good at math, but, n***a, don’t test me/
I played to the left, they went to the right, they tried to finesse me, still riding ‘round with that blicky, I hope they don’t catch me/
Police had raided our spot, so we went to the next street, play like I’m dumb, as soon as it pop, I’m goin’ retarded/
He say I’m hard and he say I’m garbage, I’m rich regardless, we in Miami in the middle of the winter, and we on them jet skis…/”
Just Cause Y’all Waited II is a continuation of 2018’s Just Cause Y’all Waited, an important release given his departure from Def Jam and newfound independence. The album will also follow last August’s Love Songs 4 The Streets II, which saw 16 tracks and features from Meek Mill, Key Glock, 21 Savage, King Von, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and Nicki Minaj. That project earned Durk a top five spot on the Billboard 200, thanks to 44,000 equivalent album units sold.
