Chicago is one of the top cities known to cultivate musical talent. From Twista and Kanye West to G Herbo and Lil Durk, it’s inevitable that the newer generation from Chicago is on the rise from every angle. Polo G is most certainly apart of this new wave and he’s let it be known that he’s here to stay. With the release of his brand new album The Goat, Polo G taps deeper into his sound and delivers substantial bars in a way that many admirers of rap would appreciate.
Speaking with the prestigious Chicago Suntimes newspaper, the rising star discussed the play on words with The Goat album title and his zodiac sign:
“There’s a double meaning behind that because a lot of famous people are Capricorns: LeBron James, Muhammad Ali, Martin Luther King, Tiger Woods and Denzel Washington. They are all considerably some of the greatest working professionals, so I feel like it’s just me to be great.”
Laced with a total of 16 tracks, The Goat features Lil Baby, BJ The Chicago Kid, Mustard, NLE Choppa, Stunna 4 Vegas and the late Chicago star Juice WRLD. With the two stand-out singles “DND” and “Go Stupid” intact, Polo G thoroughly capitalizes on this new album. While putting shame to any naysayers and haters, there’s no cap on what Polo is capable of when it comes to the booth.
You can only imagine how The Goat is sounding sonically with production credits going to well-known hitmakers Mike WiLL Made-It, Tay Keith, Murda Beatz, Mustard, Hit-Boy and more. This project is nothing short of great quality and it’s surely another great look for Chicago.
Polo G’s future is looking very bright these days and it’s clear that we’ll be getting more heat from him sooner than later. Press play below and let us know how you’re feeling it.
