Ahead of her highly anticipated Pretty Bitch Music album, Saweetie unleashed her “Back To The Streets” single featuring Jhené Aiko. The new Daniel Russell-directed visual for the track finds Saweetie riding bikes through alleyways with friends and soon-to-be exes before lifting off to join Jhené on the set of a mystical photoshoot. On the song, Saweetie glides over the Timbaland co-produced beat as she raps about moving on:
Pull up in my hood best dressed. Next thing, upgrade, who’s next? Rich boy, got him on deck. Good boy, tell that n***a “fetch.” I put my new man on a leash, traded in my old n***a, he was just a lease. I ride around town ‘til I leave. I gave the boy a round, spit him back to the street. Like la-da-dee-da-dee-da, yeah. I spit him back to the streets. Like la-da-dee-da-dee-da. Back to the streets.
Prior to “Back To The Streets,” this year saw Saweetie deliver dope cuts like “Money Mouf” with Tyga and YG, “Bussin 2.0” with Tay Money, and “Tap In,” the last of which as since climbed to the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. “Tap In” later on caught a big remix that featured Post Malone, DaBaby, and Jack Harlow. Pretty Bitch Music will follow her 2019 EP ICY.
Jhené Aiko also recently dropped a new video for her song “A&B.” Back in March, unveiled her third studio album Chilombo. The 20 track-album included features from Ab-Soul, Big Sean, Future, Miguel, Nas, H.E.R., John Legend, Ty Dolla $ign, and debuted at the number two spot on the Billboard 200 thanks to an impressive 152,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release. A month after, she unleashed a deluxe version of the album.
