Back in July, fans got to check out both Pop Smoke’s official debut album Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon and its deluxe upgrade, altogether receiving 34 dope cuts and a slew of collaborations alongside Quavo, Fivio Foreign, Future, Swae Lee, Lil Baby, DaBaby, Lil Tjay, Young Thug, Gunna, Jamie Foxx, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and many more. Today, a remix of the deluxe standout “Iced Out Audemars” arrives, which trades out the original feature DAFI WOO for Lil Wayne, who delivers a dope tribute verse over production from Rico Beats and BigBroLGND:
“Iced out Audemars, white like tartar sauce, blacked out all my cars, rest in peace to Pop/
We here today, we gone tomorrow, that’s the art of war, too many fallen stars, and when it rains it storms…/”
During its first week of release, Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon landed Pop Smoke a posthumous number one debut thanks to 251,000 album equivalent units sold. The album has also since earned a Platinum certification in the United States, as well as additional Platinum and Gold certifications in five other countries and counting. With the help of his peers, we’ve also been able to enjoy visuals from the project for “The Woo,” “Mood Swings,” and “Diana (Remix).”
Meanwhile, Lil Wayne has been on an absolute tear reminiscent of his “mixtape Weezy” days. January saw the release of his thirteenth studio album Funeral, which saw 24 tracks and features from Big Sean, Lil Baby, Jay Rock, Adam Levine, The-Dream, the late XXXTentacion, and more. He also released both deluxe editions of Funeral and his 2018 release Tha Carter V in May and September, respectively. Currently, he’s said to be working on three projects — Tha Carter IV, ColleGrove 2 with 2 Chainz, and Lil Father, Like Son 2 with Birdman.
