Joyner Lucas has been treating his fans throughout 2021 with some top tier songs and collaborations, including “Ramen & OJ” with Lil Baby, “Dreams Unfold” with Lil Tjay, “Your Heart” with J. Cole, and “Late to the Party” with Ty Dolla $ign, and more recently, “Duck Duck Goose.” He now makes his return alongside Lil Durk today (Dec. 3) with their latest offering “Rambo.” On the track, Joyner makes sure his bars live up to the track’s title:
I got the sniper on top of the roof (Roof, ayy), you’ll never hear when I shoot (Shoot)/ Bitch, you know I got nothin’ to lose (Lose, shh, uh), don’t ever hear when I shoot (Ayy, pew, ayy)/ I’m finna shoot out this bitch like I’m Rambo (Rambo)/
They can’t see me, I blend in like camo (Yeah, yeah)/ Fully loaded, won’t run out of ammo (Bah), ain’t no problem that I couldn’t handle (Bah, bah, bah)/ I got the sniper on top of the roof (Top of the roof, top of the roof, ayy, yeah, yeah)/
Early last year, Joyner liberated his official debut LP ADHD, which came with 18 tracks and a slew of contributions from Timbaland, Logic, Young Thug, Chris Brown, Fabolous, and King OSF — the standout track and Fresh Prince tribute “Will” later saw a remix with a verse from its legendary namesake. A little over a year ago from today, Joyner will keep the tunes coming with the well-received project Evolution.
Back in March, Durk and his Only The Family collective liberated the 23-song compilation Loyal Bros, which saw additional contributions from Tee Grizzley, Lil Uzi Vert, BIG30, EST Gee, Foogiano, and the late King Von, among many others. Months later, the Chicago star would team up with ATL frontrunner Lil Baby for The Voice of the Heroes, an 18-song effort with collaborations alongside Travis Scott, Meek Mill, Young Thug, and Rod Wave — that project would quickly shoot to the top of the Billboard 200 thanks to 150,000, subsequently earning the dynamic duo a Gold certification.
